DH booked a VRBO in Savannah for a family Labor Day weekend and used to live there.

This will be my second wedding, but for my first wedding we honeymooned in Savannah. We stayed at a Hilton hotel right in the middle of downtown. It was a beautiful place. They have something called the riverwalk that has cobblestone streets and quaint shops. Our best meal was probably at The Pink House. There was another place that was really good, but I can't remember the name of it. It was a family style lunch/dinner and you had to sit at a table with other people. We took one day and drove to Tybee Island. Took a horse and carriage ride....they told about the history and how Savannah is a place for movies...Forrest Gump was filmed there and some others. It really is a beautiful place, but I'll probably never make my way back there. For this honeymoon, we are spending a week at Disney and I'm super excited!

Savannah native! Downtown has a ton of unique restaurants, nightlife, and shops! Every Friday they do fireworks over the Savannah river and it's beautiful. There's also great bar crawls with the open container law if you're into that

The islands are really fun. Tybee isn't my favorite beach, but Jekyll and Hilton Head aren't too far out (like 45 minutes) and definitely worth it. Both are a lot more tourist friendly and there's actually parking spots! You can also rent bikes and go around the islands which is super fun!
