LINDSAY, on August 27, 2014 at 2:20 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 7

Anyone have opinions on which one is better or what advantages of one has over the other?

I'm just gonna say I'd love to go to the Sandals in St Lucia. Look at the reviews on TripAdvisor.

My fiance and I have been to both the Sandals St Lucia and Sandals Antigua. We personally enjoyed the Sandals Antigua more. However both were fantastic!! There are 3 resorts in St Lucia. We stayed at the Regency La Toc. You will be able to visit the other resorts though, which we of course did. We both looking back wish we had stayed at the Grand St Lucian. It was bigger and more new.

We loved Antigua more because we though the island was nicer and the water was more beautiful than St Lucia. However, you will be happy with any Sandals. The people are fantastic and all have them have terrific restaurants (and all inclusive!) The one activity I would recommend if you did decide to go with St Lucia is to go Zip Lining. We had a blast!! It's one of the largest Ziplining courses. Good luck booking!

    Hello!

Actually, there are 3 Sandals in St. Lucia - all have their benefits and drawbacks. The Sandals La Toc is on a mountain-side and is away from the beach, and the closest beach is a public beach, but the hillside location gives fantastic views, the suites have plunge pools and the butler suites give a resort-within-a-resort experience. The Sandals Grande St Lucian is a bit smaller with water on both sides of the peninsula, it has swim-up rooms and the Suites-In-The-Round. Finally, the Sandals Halcyon is the smallest of the resorts, really laid-back, right on a calm, peaceful bay, it has a overwater restaurant and it is perfect for people who are more budget-conscious. You can stay at the Halcyon and use the Sandals privileges for the other 2 resorts.

The Sandals Antigua is also a hillside, mountainside, its romantic, quiet and sophisticated. All of the rooms are oceanview because they are built-up the hillside. It is one of the world's most romantic resorts, too! Plus, you can use the casino next door. There is also a Grand Pineapple on Antigua, and while it isn't the luxury of the Sandals and isn't adults-only, it is a great option - simple, basic, cost-effective.

    Hope that helps!

We are going to st lucia ! I'll be there in a week and am super stoked! We loved the way the island looked and had heard rave reviews from friends so we went with st lucia. Soufiere is supposedly the best part of the island and while there is no sandals there, there are plenty of excursions that take you out that way!

We went with the regency la toc because the grande was a bit more expensive so we upgraded to a Butlered room at La toc for the same price as the room we wanted at the grande
