Rustic Beach Wedding

Jay, on January 16, 2024 at 3:11 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 8

Researching ideas for aisle decorations and seating for a rustic beach wedding to blend natural elements with a laid-back, charming atmosphere.

- Palm Aisle Markers secured to chairs along the aisle to create a pathway.

  • - Beach-themed blankets or rugs along the aisle for a relaxed and comfortable vibe. This can also provide a cozy sitting area for guests.

Searching for some other creative ideas for ceremony decorations and seating.

Is your wedding ON the beach? Is the reception on the beach as well?

I had minimal decorations - just a simple arch with a white scarf. The chairs had (elasticized) back sashes that were then removed and brought to the reception chairs. Not sure I would want to sit on a rug <G> for ANY wedding. Our DOC kept telling me during our meetings prior to the wedding that the beautiful beach, sand and vegetation would be decor enough - that most people wouldn't even notice anything else because of "that view". Keep it simple so that your surroundings and YOU can be the focal point. Happy planning!! Smiley heart

Thinking lots of neutrals: beige, gray, cream, maybe throw some green if you want (by using greenery). Also, try to play with textures: maybe linen, sea glass/frosted glass, cotton. Definitely keep things light and airy, and a few candles here and there could be nice

Baby's breath could be so pretty! Also, lunaria could be really cool and whimsical- its unique gold color would compliment the landscape if you don't want to go green.

Thanks for the reply. Great tips and ideas Smiley heart . The beach was selected for both the ceremony and reception. You were correct in saying the location and view should be the focal point. We took the idea of using the sashes for both the reception and ceremony.

We sourced some local flowers (bougainvillea and silver bush for decorating). Thanks for the tips you shared. Awesome to have the feedback from the community.Smiley heart

Hi Skylar Smiley cake . We sourced Baby's breath as you suggested. The bride loved the idea of using it.

This is going to be on the sand? The beach doesn’t require decorations. Rustic beach would be using whatever Mother Nature has gifted you that is already there, if anything.

Rugs on sand is a safety hazard. Many people are not going to want to sit on them in dressy clothes , and you need to be careful with any invisible disabilities that make that idea not possible.

    Hi Michelle. Thanks.

The rugs definitely will be shelved (your point about the invisible disabilities is noted, especially for our older guests who might not be able to sit that low/bend).

The wedding is on the sand Smiley heart .
