Rsvps?

Jordan, on January 27, 2020 at 4:18 PM Posted in Planning 2 18

How long does it normally take for people to RSVPS?

We sent out our invitations last week and i know everyone received them and a few people have RSVP'd.

But just curious on when i should expect most of the others? I know i have some time still, we have about 6 weeks until the dead line we gave them and i am sure i will have to hunt some people down for them also, but just curious on when i should start expecting more of them.

We had a good many people RSVP right when they got the invitation (about 1-2 weeks after sending them out). The rest we've had a couple here and there. Our RSVP deadline is this Sunday and we currently have 25 out of 75 invited that haven't RSVP'd yet. I'm anticipating having to contact the majority of those 25 next Monday.

We got maybe 25% of ours within the first two weeks, then a few a week for 4 weeks, then 10-15% the week before the deadline. We had quite a few people to follow up with after the deadline.

Our guests had our invites for 6 weeks before they were due. They could send back the addressed & stamped RSVP paper or do it online, we also sent out save the dates 10 months out. About 80% used the paper RSVP and 20% online. The first 3 weeks, we didn't get many back. The 4th & 5th week we got a lot more back. We had to contact 60 out of 225 guests total after our RSVP date.

I got a few in the beginning, a few in the middle, a few at the end, and many people never RSVPd and I had to contact them

We got very few right away, may 5 within the first week. The others didn't come in until right before the deadline. We had around 7 that we had to chase down.

Sounds like it's kind of all over the place. Hopefully we won't have to track down too many. Smiley smile Thanks so much!

There's really no normal. We had to chase down some people but most of them trickled in throughout the 6w we gave them.

That's a really good idea! I hate not having control of a situation so i am not very good at just being patient and waiting with things like this. So that would definitely help me out it think!

Do you go in person to ask for that or can you do it online?

We got the bulk of our RSVP’s within the first 1-3 weeks. Then another small batch of them 1 week before the deadline.

We sent ours out 1.5 weeks ago and did online RSVPs. We received about 25% replies right away, but has slowed down significantly. I'm sure most people will reply closer to the RSVP date. Also, a good handful is actually from our wedding party lol

    Roughly a million years.
    Lol.
We sent out ours on the 17th.We got 3 on Wednesday.3 on Friday.5 Saturday.1 Today.I'm sitting here impatiently like "you come or you no come, write it down, and send it back asap!"
I'm trying to remind myself that technically, it's been 5 business days since I sent them out. So I'm going to just tell myself that I should have most of them back by February 17.
I can remind everyone at my shower in the 23rd to send them in. I can remind everyone at my shower after the deadline. Then go from there.
    Good luck!

I sent mine out this week, we havent gotten any back as of yet but they have until march 4th so still plenty of time . But to be honest most people dont really send them back. I'm not going to follow up or hound anyone though . If they dont RSVP then I'm not going to worry with it. I did my part I sent save the dates and then my invites with a stamped envelope with RSVP card all they have to do is check a box and toss it in the mail.

We sent out our invitations and recieved about 20% of them back within 2 weeks. We have everyone 5 weeks to RSVP so I'm sure people will really start to send everything back middle of February!

We invited close to 150. Sent them about 10-11 weeks before the wedding (around 7 weeks before the RSVP deadline).

Received probably 50 back in the first 2 weeks after sending them out. Then over the course of the next 3-4 weeks we got probably about another 30-40 very scattered out. Between 2 weeks before the deadline and the deadline itself, we suddenly had a surge of replies and got about 50 more. When it hit the deadline, I think 12 people hadn’t responded (not too bad imo).

Those are just a total estimate in the numbers from what I seem to remember, but basically we got a lot of replies in the first couple weeks, then not many over the next month, and then a lot more within the week or 2 leading up to the deadline. Most people either respond ASAP or they wait until the last minute... there is very little in between lol.
