How far in advance did you ask for your guests to RSVP? For example, we are getting married in Feburary, and I am asking for my guests to RSVP by December so I can get an appropriate headcount to tell my venue.

I'm getting married in August and we have to have a final head count 2 weeks prior. I'm telling my guests a month before the actual deadline.

I think December is too early. If your wedding is Feb 22, I’d put the RSVP as January 22.

My wedding was Jan 19. I put Dec 23 as my RSVP to give a window between Christmas and New Years to call stragglers. Final numbers were due 2 weeks before, so January 5

I did December 20th for my February 20th wedding. We have a lot traveling from out of town and they need plenty of time to make their arrangements. Vendors need a final count a month before so that’s cutting it too close for me. I don’t want to be calling people who didn’t RSVP the same week that I absolutely need final counts.

Were in a similar boat. Our venue requires every person over 100 people, would be $100. Right now our head count is 120 LOL partially why we wanted to try to get RSVP's early.

Awe how awesome! Funny story, we started dating February 22nd 2013. So we'll be celebrating 7 years together on our wedding night. Congratulations as well!

That’s very early. Your RSVP deadline should be 1-2 weeks before your final headcount is due, so
typically 2-3 weeks before the wedding. December is when your invitations should be going out. Our deadline was at the beginning of
    November for our 11/23 wedding.

That’s a little early for an RSVP date. Generally your RSVP date should be 2 weeks before your final head count is due. My RSVP deadline was September 19th for my October 5th wedding.

Partially my fault cause i wasn’t 100% of the “cut off time.” 😆 majority of my guests RSVP’d and I am waiting on the last 30. I appreciate your help and I wish I knew that sooner

We asked for guests to RSVP about 6 weeks in advance. Some of our vendors needed final numbers about a month before and I knew I was going to track people down.

We’re having people RSVP two months in advance of our wedding! We need to give final head counts a month before the wedding. I’d like to give myself enough time to not feel super stressed when trying to get last minute RSVPs. Almost everyone is going to be traveling to our wedding so it seems like a more realistic time frame for us anyways. You should set them for whenever you feel like you have enough time to get things done on the back end Smiley smile

We asked our guest to RSVP by November 15th. We have to turn our numbers in to our catering company a month in advance. So the ones who didn’t RSVP are now out of luck.

Oh also we sent our Save the Date cards in August then in October 24th we sent out our formal wedding invitations. Then we made a Facebook post November 10th. So they had three different opportunities to RSVP.

My wedding is November 7th 2020. Our headcount ($100 p/p for 160) is due ten days ahead including the final deposit. I’m sending the RSVPs the first of September and making the deadline a week and a half before my 10 day deadline. I want to give myself enough cushion room to contact those who haven’t already RSVPd so by the date, I can just give the final count.

    Thank-you Lauren!

We did do things a little early. 😅I sent out my formal wedding invitations towards the end of September, and asked to RSVP by December 1st. Majority of my guest list RSVP'd I am just waiting on the last 30 to let me know. Our venue has the option to house/feed more people its just ($100, over 100 people.) We wanted to be prepared to potentially kick out 2,000 because we are 20 people over 😂
