Romantic ideas for Disney World honeymoon?

Riley, on March 5, 2019 at 12:58 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 13

We decided to go to Disney World for our honeymoon. And I was just wondering of romantic places to eat or romantic things to do there for couples?

Definitly go to be our guest. They treat engaged and newly married couples so well...book ahead for that or you won’t get in. Fireworks dessert parties/fireworks cruises. Port orleans riverside resort has a horse and carriage ride. San angel inn restaurant in Epcot is super romantic mood feeling.they have a ton of themed photo opportunities that are super cool and romantic. One is holding a tangled lantern...super long line for that be prepared. Many resorts do Disney movies under the stars. Check out Cinderella’s wishing well. Boardwalk is super cool at night. There’s also a dance hall there. Those are a few I can think of off the top of my head. Definitly call Disney. Speaking to a person tends to work out in your favor. When you get there talk to a cast member in guest services. When my fiancé proposed he had little luck over the phone but then they broke a ton of rules the night of his proposal. Try both just in case. Be prepared to book everything early.

Yatchmans steak house at the yatch club, so good and they gave us Champaign and dessert!
Book a couples massage, it was
    actually reasonably priced.
Take a tour, not really romantic but really cool. We did keys to Kingdom.
Take a hot air balloon ride at Disney Springs.
When you book your hotel tell them it’s your honeymoon! We got chocolate covered strawberries.
Get pins and wear them, you never know what random cast member might get you if they see them.
Dinner at California grill during the fireworks is great! You can also see then from Ohana, but California Grill is a better view. Ohana is REALLY good.
Honestly we enjoyed our minimoon in Disney so much, and we didn’t do anything! We just relaxed and hung out at our hotel (napped, watched movies, sat in the hot tub). Going to the parks can be so stressful and rushed. Make sure you plan for some down time to just enjoy each other.

No suggestions on where to eat, but make sure to stop by guest services and ask for a pin! They give pins for birthdays and celebrations. When cast members see it they'll say congrats and sometimes treat you to something special. I got a few free cupcakes on my birthday. Who knows what they do for newlyweds!

I love this question! We are honeymooning there in September!

Dining wise I would suggest Be our guest (if you love the beast get a reservation for dinner to watch his reveal!). Cinderella royal table: here you eat inside the castle! Extremely romantic and great food!
paddlefish is a great location in disney springs!
Epcot has a few restaurants I would suggest, Le Celiar (steak house in Canada), San Angel (Mexican restaurant inside the Aztec pyramid) and I can’t remember the name but a cute restaurant in France!

What do you and FH enjoy at the parks? For us we love rides so I consider getting a fast pass at seven dwarfs mine train or flight of passage romantic LOL!

we are actually doing they Keys to the kingdom tour together (something on my bucket list!) and if you want something a little more relaxing the various dessert parties I would suggest! You can also book carriage rides or massages at one of the many spas on resort!

Remember to book dining reservations at 180 days out! Be our guest will book up on that day so it’s important to book them at that mark.

Splurge on the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party. Definitely worth the money and not having to sit in the crowds forever. Be Our Guest is beautiful. Epcot and Disney Springs also have a ton of restaurants that are good as well. Try the Edison. And if you are thinking fancy, try Victoria and Alberts which does have a dress code, so be aware.

Also I highly suggest downloading the my Disney experience app! This will show you live wait times for all attractions and all dining options including table service and quick service. It shows you the menus as well. FH and I sat down and went through the menus together and took note of what we liked or wanted to try!

This whole blog is really helpful and well-written, but this post in particular should be handy: https://www.disneytouristblog.com/disney-world-honeymoon-tips/

First, let me say that you have to do what you find fun and romantic - but we did WDW for our honeymoon (8 days, 7 nights) - so let me give you a rundown on what we did.

We stayed at Port Orleans, French Quarter - it's nice and quiet - and beautiful (plus we got engaged in NOLA, so it was fitting for our relationship). Add that you're honeymooning to your reservation - it comes up on your resort and all of your fastpasses (and any other time you scan your magic band).

You need to call to add your honeymoon to your dining reservations - completely worth doing - at the end I'll detail the extras we got (some little, some bigger, and none are guaranteed).

Get a dining plan - we did the Disney Dining plan, and it made our trip MUCH less expensive

Get a Memory Maker - we have all of the ride photos and all of the photographer photos that were taken in the park - fun to look at later, and we were able to make a fun collage to hang on the wall.

MAKE SURE you get your "Happily Ever After" buttons - cast members will tell you congratulations even if you haven't scanned your magic band.

Get wedding ears for at least one day - they're super fun Smiley smile

We made reservations for: Le Cellier, Cinderella's Royal Table, San Angel Inn Restaurante, Flying Fish, Yak & Yeti, Prime Time 50s Cafe, and The Hollywood Brown Derby (we got the Fantasmic Fireworks Package - it was amazing! Dinner at the HBD and preferred seating for the show).

We got the Hawaiian Nachos in the bar at the Polynesian (and tropical beverages) and spent a couple evenings at Disney Springs - try Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar - it's super cool and they have good drinks.

We also got to have lunch at Be Our Guest (lunch is quick service, but they strongly recommend a reservation).

That's the thing about the buttons, adding your honeymoon to the reservation, and getting ears - cast members *sometimes* give you things (don't expect it and be grateful when you get it - we saw people who acted like they were owed something who got nothing).

We received (and were so happy to get): a cheese-stuffed Mickey pretzel in MK, champagne with dessert at Le Cellier, a churro in EPCOT, audience participation at the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, a spot at lunch at BOG (they were saying the next spots they had were 3:00, to others, and we were told to go get in the line), champagne and an extra (1/2 size) dessert at Flying Fish, wine and "pixie dust" at the HBD - and I may be forgetting things.

Make sure you make fastpasses well ahead of time - especially for Flights of Passage - they go FAST!

    Cheers and Happy Honeymooning!

So I spent my "engagementcation" at Disney world!!! He proposed in front of the tree of life. Aloha show for dinner is super romantic; California grill has incredible views of fireworks at night. & i'm sure the new gondalas will be open!!
definitely make sure you wear cute buttons & maybe some wife/husband ears!!!

it all depends on what you're looking for!
