Congratulations on your engagement Lauren! It’s so great to have you be a part of the WeddingWire community!

This venue looks so beautiful! Are you planning a glamorous, rustic style wedding? From the photos, it looks like it would fit this style perfectly. Have you checked out their Facebook page for some customer reviews?

If you are really interested in the venue, you could also organize a tour to check out the space and meet the wedding coordinator that you would be working with.

Are there any other venues that you are considering at the moment?

Oh I did! We booked them, We're getting married there on 8/22/20. I just wanted to see if anyone else on here has gotten married there and wanted to share their experience with me. We are looking forward to working with them. We are planning a more rustic August wedding with all the fixings Smiley smile I guess I was just curious to see if anyone used the surrounding catering places or had any suggestions. Thank you!

I am sorry to ask a question in response to your question... but since you’ve booked with them I thought you’d know the answer! Does the venue price include anything beside chairs, tables and props? Is there lighting? Or sound equipment? And do you know if the house can be used day of wedding even if you aren’t booking for the weekend? I wish we could swing for the whole weekend experience but I just don’t think that’s in the budget 😬

    Hi Nicole!

No worries ask anything you would like!! I did book with River Winds Farm and everything so far has been great! Beth and Gina are so great and always available for questions at anytime. We booked from Thursday - Sunday with rehearsal on Friday and wedding on Saturday all on that property, Gina takes care of the rehearsal dinner for you.

Unfortunately the only thing included in the price is the Venue, Tables and Chairs. They do however have a prop room to utilize but I don't know if that is an extra fee if you are not staying overnight at the Venue. I would double check on that as there are some fun things such as signs, lawn games, more seating for your guest, silverware and some dining plates that you would be able to utilize without having to get rentals involved.

Did you already book with them? And I would think they would let you utilize the house for the day of to get ready and etc and for the bridal party etc, I know that no guest other than the ones staying in the home (if staying) are allowed in the home when the function has started only due to liquor licence reasoning. They want to prevent any outside alcohol from being consumed on there property as it is a huge liability if they are not the ones serving it, this I was upset about at first but really does make complete sense.

The Venue is GORGEOUS and me and my Fiance can not wait to get married there, the only downfall that I have is it essentially a "build a bear wedding" as my fiance says because everything is outsourced from the bathroom all the way to the beverage glasses. They do however have a "preferred vendor" list and some do offer discounts when booking with them, We utilized all there preferred vendors and they are honestly all so amazing.

My FH and I never imagined that things would add up so fast and we are very very lucky that our families were able to assist so much in the wedding, we knew when we got out of the car we wanted to be married at River Winds because of how beautiful it is, we highly recommend it and we aren't even married yet lol. I hope this helps you, if you have any questions please don't hesitate, I always want to help in this stressful time! If you do have a tight budget I would highly recommend looking into places that include a little more in there price. Good Luck!!
