Ring Roamer

Stacey, on June 10, 2020 at 8:23 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7

Has anyone used (or plans to use) a Ring Roamer at their reception? It's basically a mobile photo booth; an attendant will walk around and take photos of guests, and then they can get them via text immediately and they would also be projected onto a video screen throughout the reception. Our DJ has one, and we are considering using it in place of a traditional photo booth, but wanted to see if anyone has first hand experience and if guests found this to be a fun alternative. Thanks!

It would cost $595, which includes both the unit and the attendant. So it seems pretty similar to other photo booth options we've seen (or even slightly lower).

It's very unique! I wouldn't do it, though. A lot of people find the "fun" of the photobooth to be in the props, backgrounds, etc. so this wouldn't fulfill that. It also kinda reminds me of the photographers that go around dinners during cruises to take pictures of people and then try to sell them to make money. For us it wouldn't really work, but it could be a fun thing to add if it's in your budget!

We have one and from using it at weddings we promise your guests will love it! It is a great additional to the entertainment and fun at your wedding. Not to mention being able to roam around your cocktail hour, tables during dinner and get out on the dance floor makes for some priceless photo memories. Typically the roaming booth has all the props on the screen along with being able to create a custom overlay. Plus you can do photos, GIFs, and boomerangs with most software. With either photo booth you cannot go wrong but the roamer is the newest trend.
