Ring is loose

Years ago, I had a ring that was extremely loose and they had a ring guard placed inside the ring. Also, contact the company he purchased your ring, they may be able to fix it for you free of charge.

Research ring guards! I considered getting one before because my ring would spin sometimes. Just decided not to.

I have the same type fingers, very skinny with wider knuckles. My e-ring is not as loose as yours seem in the photo, but it’s top heavy because the stone is large, so it keeps turning.
Look up ring size adjusters on Amazon. I have a clear rubbery coil type of adjuster, it works really well, it’s comfortable & barely visible. Get knuckle beads. Despite what the PP said, they aren't permanent. Also, consult with your jeweler.

I also use the rubbery coil type adjuster because I have the same problem! It's a little annoying at first but I got used to it. Its great for me because I can take it off when my fingers swell in the summer.

Mine does the same thing, I am getting sizing beads put in the bottom of my ring this week to help keep it centered.

A friend of mine had the same issue and she got sizing beads on the inside so it wouldn't roll.

Have you had your finger measured at a jewelry store? I have a similar issue, big knuckles and thin fingers. I went to a not-so-good jeweler to begin with and they told me I was a size 5. Size 5 ring slid around and spun on my finger like crazy. Went to a better jeweler and they told me I was a 4.5. The first few days that I had my ring as a 4.5 I was soo nervous that it was too tight... in the morning when my fingers are more swollen, or when I'm hot, I literally can't get it off my finger. But honestly, I don't need to take it off anyway. Most of the time I can get it off with a little struggle, but that's how it should be. I'm never worried about it sliding off and it almost never spins, which is great.

I've heard sizing beads are a great option if you don't want to (or can't) resize, but unless your knuckles are absolutely huge (which, in the picture they don't look much bigger than mine) I would think you could get the ring to fit well if it were sized properly.

I would talk to a Jeweler and they would probably recommend Sizing beads. Ring guards are great but they can damage the metal over time and are not a longer solution.

I understand where you're at I have huge knuckles and tiny fingers.

I use these on my ring and they work amazingly. My ring is lined with dimonds and the Jewler said they would not be able to resized the ring without risking all the dimonds falling out. I refuse to risk my beautiful ring getting damaged and don't want a different one, so I will continue to use the ring adjusters and plan to get sizing beads in the future.

I should also note I have larger knuckles too and the ring adjuster allows me to "roll" the ring off rather than tugging it if that makes sence lol.

My ring a slightly loose, not by much though. During winter, I had about 9-10 small coils of the adjuster. Now that it is warming up, I only have 5 small coils, but I do not want to get it sized down for two reasons.
1. I do not want to lose the integrity and value of the ring by resizing it
2. Come summer time, my finger will swell as they do when it is warm. Also when I get pregnant, I will probably swell, so having this little extra room will allow me to still wear my ring in the future.
You do not want to be resizing it all the time. That loses its value. Also, having the ring adjuster protects the bottom of the ring from any damage too, so it's a win win!

Not sure if you got your ring fixed or not, but I am a jeweler and I can offer you an option.

It looks like it is a Verragio ring, or something very similar to that designer. I have worked with these style of rings in the past, they are unable to be sized normally, but there are alternative solutions. Since it is just turning around your finger a little bit, I would recommend adding sizing bumps. I have them in my engagement ring only. They are made of metal (the same type as your ring) and soldered inside the band. Here is my plan/reasoning behind it:

I have lost some weight (about 15 pounds in the last year and a half, woo!!) so my fingers have changed in size (down) slightly since I started planning our rings. My engagement ring is maybe about 1/2 size bigger than my wedding ring, so while I am wearing my engagement ring alone, I will leave the bumps inside. Once I start wearing them together, I may take the bumps out as wearing 2 together will feel tighter. I am choosing to leave my rings un-soldered from each other as I may wear my wedding ring only post-wedding, but I may end up changing my mind later.

Other options include sizing bars or a spring sizer (imagine a spring board essentially inside your ring).

These repairs are usually around the $$ - $$$ price range, but it depends on the metal of your ring.

I wouldn’t recommend anything permanent as we can swell or gain weight but I ordered these $3 plastic coil ring adjusters off amazon you wrap around your ring and it’s worked wonderfully so far! If im VERY cold I do have some spinning (minor) but for 3 bucks it’s the best solution I’ve found! My mom hates her sizing beads and says they’re uncomfortable just FYI

My ring was my FH grandmother's ring and it was sized down as much as it could but its still a tad large. I ordered a ring guard from amazon. Its just a little plastic like telephone chord that wraps around the back and its been perfect since. Plus it was only $6 for a pack of 10.
