Rhode Island Brides ceremony site ideas?

Marina, on April 16, 2019 at 3:24 PM Posted in Rhode Island Planning 0 4
FH and I are having our reception at The Towers of Narragansett in September, after labor day, and are currently looking at a ceremony site that wont charge us thousands of dollars for 30 minutes. We will be having a small ceremony, about 40 people and would love something outside/waterfront/open area. FH wants to do a 'flash ceremony' at Cliff Walk, in Newport, but doing something without the cities permission just makes me think that a cop will come and ruin our day since we don't have the right to be there....not to mention that huge rocks and heels aren't a great combination, lol. Any recommendations? Thanks! Smiley smile

We are getting married at the open air chapel at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI on August 31. Its just $15 to rent it for 4 hours and you can see the water right there. You could also contact the park about using other areas for a ceremony. I’ll attach a few pictures in case you’re unfamiliar with the park.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Marina!

The Towers of Narragansett is an awesome reception venue!

The previous poster gave an excellent recommendation, have you checked it out?

I would advise checking other local parks also!

Alternatively, you could ask your venue coordinator if they have a small room you could rent for a ceremony? They possibly could have something outdoor also!
