Rescheduled wedding - what are you doing on that day?

Benjamin, on March 22, 2020 at 9:13 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
Hey everyone! Like so many of you, we've had to push our wedding back due to COVID -19. We were supposed to be married on April 4th. As you can guess we are both saddened and frustrated about it and we have been trying g to think of ways to at least make ourselves feel better. We were thinking of doing something special on that day. Is anyone else thinking of doing something like this? What are you planning? We cant really leave our homes at the moment, so it would have to be something we can do at home. Thoughts?

I'm so sorry you had to cancel your big day! I would say keep your head up and remember that no matter what you are blessed with someone who cares, loves you, and will stand by you thru the good, the bad, and even the unexpected! I would say have a little fun and maybe try to have a virtual ceremony! Have your closest family and friends join you guys on some type of social media gathering as you guys say funny vows to each other and then everyone can toast virtually eating what they have and going around for a minute or two to give you guys words of encouragement or say a fun story about who you two are as a couple. Whatever you do just keep your head up and don't allow this virus take your joy not even for a minute on that day or any day really. Hope it helps

I'm in the same boat. Smiley sad 4/4 wedding is being postponed. lol I asked my fiance what we might do that day now and he said he will probably try to pull an extra shift that day, which I dont blame him cause we are also building a new home. Welp! Seems like its gonna be just another day for us!

Hey Benjamin! First of all remember that you're not alone and this whole community is sending you a big hug.

As for how to celebrate, how about dressing up, dancing to your first dance song, and eating some cake? Maybe look through some photos from throughout your relationship. Or maybe write some informal vows to each other Smiley heart I hope you can still enjoy a beautiful time together.
