Rent Land for overnight Wedding Reception

Paul, on January 2, 2020 at 1:07 PM Posted in Oregon Planning 0 8
Hello.

Does anyone know if it's possible to rent land in the Portland, OR surrounding areas for a Wedding Reception/Party? My fiance and I already have a private wedding planned but would like to celebrate our marriage with all of our family and friends. We have about 150 people that would camp out with us for the night since our wedding is planned for July 11th the weather should be wonderful. We would like to be able to setup a couple event tents, stage, tiki torches have a bonfire if there isn't a burn ban and have room for RVs, tents for camping and parking for all of our guests. I think 2 acres should be more than enough room for everything.

Are there any state parks or campsites in your area that have an option to rent out the facility for a day? That's all I can think of that may be able to accommodate this type of event, I'm not sure how likely it would be to find that amount of land available for rent by the day.

I looked into that first. There are too many restrictions on alcohol, noise and the main areas close at 10pm. What's the point of celebrating all night long if they are going to shut us down the same time a regular vendor would?

In that case, I think your options are going to be pretty limited. You'll probably have to pick and choose what the MOST important aspects are for the wedding you want to have and make sacrifices here and there. Smiley atonished

I found something that sorta might work. It's called Hornings Hideout in North Plains.
I was just looking.at the wedding receptions but the whole place is a dream. They rent out blocks of private campgrounds and RV sites. Looks like there's a lake.

Anyway if you rent out a reception area, you get it for 23 hrs and alcohol's ok if you get event insurance . They have outdoor event spaces for large groups.

I don’t know your budget but I went to a wedding less than two years ago at Clackamas River Farm, LLC. Both brides had family and friends stay on the grounds overnight and everyone enjoyed it. Gorgeous wedding and well planned.

Hi! While I am located no where near OR, I was curious what kind of venue you guys were able to find? How did it turn out? My fiancé and I are trying to have the same sort of celebration and I am at a loss right now.
