Renewal ceremony and reception

My husband and I are renewing our vows and throwing a party after the ceremony, the problem is that this time instead of renting a hall we are having the reception at our house with about 25 people we have a very small yard so that is out of the question and ideas how to set up and decorate a house I want it to be filled with lots of joy also doing the food thing too, what’s the best way to do that? Finger foods? Help please

Simple potted flowers would work nicely as decor, without taking up too much valuable space. Not knowing the layout of your home makes it difficult to suggest a layout, but I would make sure the flow is unrestricted. (no chairs in doorways, etc) Finger foods are great - check with your local grocery store for their catering menus. We have Publix here, and they are truly outstanding in their pricing for platters. Can you have someone be in charge of picking up the platters/food for you after the ceremony? You could have all the necessary tableware all ready the night before so you can just pull that all outday of.
