Rehearsal Dinner

I will be getting married in Queen Creek. We are looking into our rehearsal dinner. We originally wanted the Olive Mill across the street from our venue but they are doing their olive festival that weekend so they are out. My sister and I were thinking renting out the patio or a meeting space and doing catering from Backyard Taco, which is roughly $15 a person. I presented the idea to my MIL who will be paying for it and she said that was expensive. She also would rather go to a restaurant than having to rent another space. I was trying to avoid Italian places like Oreganos or Olive Garden because we will be doing Italian for the wedding the next day. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we could go?
