What kind of vibe are you going for on the dinner? Upscale? More Laid back?

Georgetown has a plethora of places, I'd say most are not on the casual side. For this area, I'd think Clyde's of Georgetown, but I know you want to be in a different neighborhood.

SE of there near Foggy Bottom is Founding Farmers - GREAT food. Also close by is Dupont, I'd say this is the middle of the two neighborhoods you listed. A quirky place is Madhatter. If you're into Mexican food - Mission. More casual - Blackfinn.

Adams Morgan is close by and has a few places.

Again, I think it really depends on the vibe you want for the dinner.

As Madison said, it really depends on what style of rehearsal dinner you want to have! Do you want something relaxed and laid back, or do you want something on the more formal side?

Also, how many guests do you expect there to be?

I'm thinking a formal dinner would be appropriate for 13 people.
