Reception Tables numbers or names?

I want to do something creative with the reception table than just do numbers? I just got an inspiration from my uncle along with his partner and now husband who at every family event I would sit with. Would call it table of life or table for life so yeah. If any of you have any suggestions. I am open to it.

We had a coastal theme and each table was the name of an island - it was so fun! Good luck with your wedding planning!

Beach themed wedding here, and every table has a different sea creature vinyl sticker. (Etsy) I have matching small stickers for the escort cards. Also, I checked with our venue and they are cool with that - someone had posted here that you should check to make sure venues don't require numbered tables.

We named our tables places that we each have been to or went together to. People loved it! Examples: the Dallas Table, New York Table, Palm Beach Table, etc.

I prefer numbers, they're easier for people to find. No need to complicate something that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

We're doing table names! I think they're a great way to add a personal touch or play up a theme. I'm toying with having a "map" of the table locations to make it easier for guests to find their tables (and to share with the venue for dinner service).
