Really need help and suggestions for a Wedding Venus in Maryland that allows bringing your own caterer.

Hi, it's been a struggle finding something affordable, of good quality, that has spare rooms, and allows you to bring your own catering. I really could use some help with this from my Maryland folks. I am even willing to entertain the Idea of doing the wedding in D.C and Virginia at this point.

Have you looked at event venues owned by the city parks department? They are much more flexible and economical than all inclusive venues. People generally don’t like them as wedding venues because they want to pay for someone else to plan everything and show up. A parks department owned venue gives you more hours onsite, let’s you pick the vendors you want which means you can use lower budget licensed vendors if you need to, and many have multiple spots on the premises for your events, all for the base rental fee that an all inclusive charges before required catering (that you can’t sample before the contract is signed) and other vendor charges, or even less than that. Contrary to popular belief, park venues have tables and chairs included in the rental fee that are good quality and comfortable to sit in, as well as bathrooms, and many have a kitchen for the caterer to use. Doing the math, a lot of times the DIY venue is cheaper in the long run. The parks department websites have a pdf breakdown of what the fees and regulations are that is cut and dry without hiding information.

Also take a look at peerspace.com and venuereport.com because both are transparent in pricing and what they offer.

My sister used the Oak Room at the Sandy Spring firehouse. They used their own caterer and a second one for the desserts. I'm not sure they have a ceremony space and everything, though.
