Rawlings Conservatory Wedding in Baltimore, md

Gina, on July 13, 2020 at 11:16 AM Posted in Maryland Planning 0 4

This might be a long shot, but we are planning a small wedding (under 50 people) for Fall 2021 and have chosen Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore as our wedding venue. I'm wondering if anyone who had a similar size wedding there has a price breakdown on how much everything cost, which preferred caterer they went with, what other vendors in the area they used, etc. I would love a blueprint to help with making decisions.

I got married at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore. Owned by the same (John's Hopkins) event company. They have a list of preferred caterers. Do NOT go with Charles Levine. He'll give you a low ball estimate, and it went up by 4k 3 weeks before my wedding. And he messed up a lot of things the day-of. Classic Catering people and Seasons are the other two. I'm not going to lie, they were all quite expensive. It was the biggest line item at our wedding by double. But I've heard nothing but good things about the other two. My wedding planner actually refuses to work with Charles Levine ever again because of his lack of professionalism

Peabody is owned by Johns Hopkins University, Rawlings is not. Rawlings is essentially a Baltimore City Park and is much cheaper because they have a wider selection of preferred caterers that you can choose from than Peabody. I'm planning a wedding a Cylburn, which is also owned by Baltimore City, and probably using Copper Kitchen. That's not the cheapest caterer, though. We're also getting a tent and doing everything outside, which is a significant extra cost.
