Punta Cana or St. Lucia?

Brooke, on October 10, 2016 at 1:03 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

Has anyone stayed at Sandals in St. Lucia? Or have recommendations for hotels in Punta Cana? Looking for all inclusive adults only!

It all depends on what you want from your vacation as they are both very different. St. Lucia is less developed and has more nature to offer. There are intimate resorts and the water is amazing. That would be my choice. I can certainly recommend the Sandals Grande St. Lucia and the Anse Chastenet as quality resorts. Punta Cana also has nice beaches but much larger resorts. The Iberostar Grande Bavaro is a great choice but realize there will be more people around. Overall, I like St. Lucia better and feel it is much more romantic. Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Hey we are date twins!!! I haven't even picked our honeymoon spot yet but we may be doing Punta Cana (I've never been). I have been to St Lucia - we stayed at the Sandals Halcyon Resort. It was beautiful and intimate, and what was great was that you could play and dine at the other two larger sandals nearby! Sandals Halcyon was right on Budget for us but everything was included.

I've been to Punta Cana twice now. It makes for a fun vacation. We stay at the Hard Rock. St. Lucia is on my list to visit. It seems like it would be really romantic and relaxing!

I haven't been to either but I've heard nothing but great things about st Lucia and some mixed reviews about punta Cana. Punta Cana seems to be way cheaper though

We stayed at the Royal Suites Turquesa in Punta Cana. It's part of the Grand Palladium Resorts. It's 6 resorts on one property which provides you with a lot of food and entertainment options. The Royal Suites Turquesa is adults only but you can visit the pools and beaches of any of the resorts on the property however none of the other resort guest can come to yours. Our experience there was fantastic.

    I have been to both.

St Lucia is beautiful. It looks so much like a South Pacific island. There are a lot of fantastic adult only, all-inclusive resorts on St Lucia. The Viceroy Sugar Beach is my favorite.

Punta Cana also has several lovely adult only, all-inclusive hotels. I prefer St Lucia over Punta Cana. as the areas outside the resorts are much nicer in St Lucia than Punta Cana.

I'm not a fan of punta cana. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be, but Saint Lucia is gorgeous!!!!
