Punta Cana or Jamaica?

I've never been to Punta Cana or Runaway Bay

But I have been to the Dominican Republic and Jamaica before and between them to I would say Jamaica

Depending on what you are looking for, I would recommend either destination.

Barcelo Bavaro is an Adults Only resort on a beautiful beach,Jewel Beach Resort is a family resort,in Jamaica also on a nice beach, and probably more to do at resort.

We're doing Sandals in Jamaica. It beats the prices of every all-inclusive we've looked at. We're getting a butler suite for around $1700 each including flight.

Ive been to PC and liked it but dont think i would make an effort to go back. Im leaving for Jamaica in 6 days though!! We were originally going to stay at the jewel because we heard great things, but pricing purposes we are going to the RIU. (not our HM, just a laid back vaca)

I've been to both Punta Cana and Jamaica and to be honest, I loved Jamaica more. Jamaica was less expensive than DR too! We stayed at the same hotel chain in both areas called the Iberostar (we stayed at the adults only resort). They are both insanely beautiful, the staff is very tentative (better than any services i've recieved in the US) and the food is delicious. I would recommend all inclusive as it seems to be the most bang for your buck. I did like Punta Cana, but I really loved Jamaica more. The people were more friendly and I just enjoyed the trip a lttle bit more. We're actually getting married/honeymooning in Jamaica next February!

Oh i forgot to mention that there is generally no fee for a travel agent as the agent gets paid from the resorts/hotels/airlines they go with. Sometimes her fee is included in the price of the room/flight. I would never travel without a travel agent now - They make everything so much easier!

Punta Cana it's amazing and the people there are very friendly.

I would do Punta Cana cuz it is unheard of which probably means more secluded which means more private time and presumably cheaper since less common. =)
