We are eloping to Jamaica. I wanted to have my wedding bouquet preserved because it is quite expensive in Jamacia (over $500.00). I'm not allowed to bring it back into the USA. We have a Victorian theme. So now I'm thinking of using a silk brooch bouquet because I can bring that home. I love fresh flowers, but feel like we are throwing our money away. I am undecided on what to do.

Pictured is our ceremony site. The fresh flower bouquet I was planning to carry and my color palette. The brooch bouquet will incorporate more colors of our palette. Wedding June 9th. If appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks in advance!! Pros and Cons on my bouquet 💐 1

I would go for the silk bouquet if bringing it home is important to you. If you go with the fresh flowers you can donate it to a local hospital.

I'm also getting married in Jamaica (on the beach) and I'm going with a silk flower bouquet. I didn't want to have to worry about flowers wilting in the heat and I wanted to have my bouquet as a keepsake as well.

Splurge on high definition photography to capture your bouquet for posterity. Be aware that silks can often be much more expensive than fresh flowers.

Hi!! 😊 A cascade of pearls like this 1st photo, but fluffier like this burgundy and pink photo. The brooches would be inside some of the blooms and some on their own. Thank you!! 💗

Yes, we are definitely splurging on photography, especially with the beautiful backgrounds at our resort. I've already priced my bouquet and it's less than my real bouquet in Jamacia. I appreciate your mentioning the pricing because some people may not have thought of it.

I hope so! The designer says it will be. 😊 I can do flowers, but since I've been ill, I have a very late date with a veil. Ha! Ha!
