Private dining without crazy fees

Hi Joana!! OpenTable actually has a good filter for searching local restaurants with private dining rooms - I'd definitely check that out for your area!

Sorry. It was autocorrect. i meant space. I am looking just to reserve the space, but when i ask for a private space, they want to charge ridiculous fees. I just think is absurd how everything becomes 5X more expensive as soon as you day "wedding". I am not asking them for anything out of their regular work. Super frustrating. Places have given me costs from $1,000 to $2,000 just for the space in a restaurant!

Got it! Since you're having such a small group and just need restaurant space, maybe you could just tell them it is for a private family event?

If you are planning to have the ceremony in the private dining room, almost every restaurant will charge you a fee. Honestly, we held a birthday party in a private room at the capital grille and they charged us a fee. I think its standard even for non weddings. But, maybe they charge more for weddings.
