I’d use an online company! How large of prints are you getting?

We used a local camera store to print and they turned out very well. Maybe looking to see if you have a local business who can do the same, as long as you’re will to wait out stay-at-home orders. Remember to check the resolution before sending for printing. Sometimes the photographer plays with the resolution (or compresses the file) to get the photos to fit on a thumb drive and you’ll want a higher resolution for larger prints.

My photographer recommended Nations Photo Lab as the best online company to get prints from.

View Quoted Comment Not sure. It is likely that the online versions are compressed. The thumb drive version of our photos were set to 300 dpi which did not work well for printing 8x10s. We used photoshop to go in and increase the resolution, re-save the file and re-upload to the local print shop. The photos with the increased resolution looked MUCH clearer! Fortunately our photographer was pretty open about explaining this to us since our package granted us rights to print copies of the photos. Of course the photographer prefers you order something from them (we did an album and a bridal portrait print), but if they’re granting printing rights they know you’ll print some things on your own.
