Preserving your bouquet?

Megan, on December 8, 2019 at 10:58 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
Hi!
I’m wondering what people did to preserve their bouquet? I’m interested in doing a pressed bouquet artwork thing, and have no idea where to start.
What did you all do? What prep did it take?

I think you need to book an artist, ship the bouquet to her and she will do the pressing. I follow this artist on Instagram designs.by.andrea her works are amazing! You can check out her website and find out more details

I had my bouquet professionally preserved with my invitation. I was able to find someone local on Yelp but there are places you can ship it to after the wedding. You should figure this out before the wedding since you won't have much time before your flowers start to die. I didn't think about this until after the wedding and couldn't get my bouquet to the place until nearly 2 weeks after the wedding. They recommend I cut about a quarter inch off the stems, place the bouquet in a vase of fresh water, cover it by putting an upside down white trash bag over it and then storing it in the fridge. This worked and my peonies actually made it. Keep in mind that it can be pricey having this done professionally. I paid close to $500 for this.

I had a faux bouquet but before whenever my husband gave me flowers for a gift, I would take some of the leaves or petals and press them on a canvas and use mod podge to hold it.

Hey there, Megan! This is a lovely idea!

Do you think your florist may have some information on doing something like this? I'd recommend speaking to him/her.
