Prepared but not stressed Covid-19

Margarie, on May 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 2

I just got off the phone with our venue letting us know the food tasting that was scheduled for 5/9/20

has been pushed back to 6/13/20. Our original I do date was July 3rd and we pushed back to September 4th.

At the time that our vendor called us to set up the tasting I felt it was a bit overzealous to think we would be able

to have the food tasting so soon with so much going on around COVID-19. After hanging up today I spoke with my

fiance and we just felt a rush of relief wash over us we easily decide that our contingency plan (in less than five

minutes) that we are prepared on our end for September 4th 2020 but if for whatever reason we are not able to

move forward no stress we will move our date to September 4th 2021. We will still go to the court when we can and enjoy a great get away in Georgia for a few days if 2020 does not go through for our ceremony and reception.

What are some of your contingencies to planning and staying sane amidst COVID-19?

    Hi Margarie,

I'm sorry you had to push back your big day!

While this is definitely an uncertain time, it seems like plenty of September couples are waiting to make postponement decisions. Of course, everyone's situation is different, so it never hurts to be proactive about plan B!

You also aren't alone right now! ❤️ Don't forget that the goal is to only have to do this once. Enjoy each and every moment planning with your partner. Is it always going to be easy? No, but this little hiccup is only going to make you two stronger as a couple. As hard as it may feel, take deep breaths and endure these moments.

We have many resources on our website to help you navigate the serious decision to postpone your wedding: Our COVID-19 Weddings Advice Guide.

    Hope this helps!
