Pre-wedding workouts

Have you started or plan to start a pre-wedding workout? if so what are you doing?

If you already had your wedding, did you do a pre-wedding workout?

My wedding was October 19th, and I wouldn't call it a pre-wedding workout exactly, because i've been hitting the gym since before I even got engaged. I did amp it up some to get in better shape beforehand. I didn't go the way of ordering a dress that was to small in hopes i'd fit into it though. I didn't want to add that kinda stress to an already stressful time. The consultant did order the wrong size dress though, she ordered a size smaller than we decided on. I didn't notice until two days before my first fitting. It all worked out though, it was only a bit small, so we let it out a tiny bit. I kept at it and on my wedding day it fit perfectly!

What I did was hit the gym three times a week. Two of those days were dedicated to strength training, the other day was usually treadmill. I"d walk a lot around home too. Every little bit does help.

I have free weights in my apartment that I use for strength workouts to try and tone my arms and stomach, and I’m planning on getting back into running more seriously when my FH and I move back in together here soon (so he can watch the toddler while I’m out xD). I’m not looking to lose weight, I want to be more toned, I’ve gotten squishy since I got pregnant with our daughter.

I have weights in my apartment too. I forgot to add using those and my exercise ball! I got sqishy too, partly from being comfortable with my guy, and partly from weight loss surgery several years ago. I'm still trying to tighten and tone

I am actually connected to beachbody and am an online fitness instructor. While I haven't been doing much of anything lately since I've been sick I will be starting to do the at home workouts and I have cut down on carbs and have been eating healthier.

FH and I are both hitting the gym to power walk and bike to build our stamina, but it's not for the wedding - it's for the honeymoon! We're going on a cruise and we have a goal to NEVER use the elevators, which means a lot of stairs. The last time we cruised, we split using elevators and stairs 50/50 and my body was screaming by the end of the first day. Who knew you got so much exercise from walking back and forth on a ship? We thought we were in pretty good shape but that cruise ship kicked our butts. So this year we're going to be prepared! I bought some ankle weights to use while I'm on the treadmill and they feel a lot heavier than they are so hopefully that will help. Smiley xd

I too have been working out well before starting to plan my wedding. I do the following for my workout regimen:

Mondays - Run 30 minutes, 30 minutes of strength and stretching

Tuesdays - 60 minutes of cardio (usually a combo of my workout DVDs or biking)

Wednesdays - Run 30 minutes, 30 minutes of strength and stretching

Thursday - 60 minutes of cardio

Friday - 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of strength and stretching

Saturday - 60 minutes of running, yoga

I just started a 6 week weight loss challenge at work hoping it will help kick my butt in gear to work on my diet. Food is my downfall for sure!
