Pre-recorded music for processional?

Sarah, on October 30, 2018 at 2:57 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2

My FH and I are planning on asking our musically-inclined siblings to provide music during the ceremony in lieu of wedding gifts. However, we had the idea to record a duet (harp & ukelele) and play that for the processional. My concern is that using pre-recorded music for the processional will make the timing tricky. Has anyone done this and found it to be tricky?

Hi Sarah! I love this idea! That will be so personal and special! Smiley heart

How many are in your processional?

You could try and time to see how long the processional will be and have your siblings play for a little longer than that amount of time for the recording, just-in-case. Whoever is in-charge of the audio on your wedding day can turn the volume down slowly at the correct part and/or, end/continue the song, if you need longer. Smiley heart

Thanks for the reassurance! I was worried that without being able to control the timing live, it might sound weird if the music doesn't quite match up with the processional (4 attendant pairs & bride). We would love to have our siblings play live, but want them to be a part of the processional as well!
