Postponing dates

I also am (hopefully) getting married in December 2020 on Long Island. I spoke with my venue about 2 weeks ago and they told me all weekends in December 2021 are still open (if I have to postpone I would move to next December). If your Plan B would be to postpone to next December I think you'll be okay waiting as December isn't the most popular wedding month. From looking at posts here, it seems like a lot of people are postponing to spring/summer 2021 (since it's mostly spring/summer 2020 postponing at this time). My venue said they aren't postponing fall weddings at this time and will give us an update sometime over the summer. All of my vendors are hopeful that weddings will be back again by December so have told me to hold out on postponing right now. My plan is to re-evaluation around September which is when I plan to send out my invites. I think around end of summer we'll have a pretty good sense of what fall is going to look like.

Hi Alyssa! There's definitely going to be a crush of couples all getting married in 2021! Dates will definitely fill up faster than normal, and a lot of people are also considering other days of the week to have their wedding (Thursday, Friday, Sunday, etc)!
