Hi I’m a photographer myself. My recommendation is first no me up with a budget and what you need.
Secondly with a style of photo…. Do you like dark and moody pictures or bright and airy or realistic?Thirdly pick a few photographers that fit those requirements and schedule meetings with them.
See who you have a good connection with and go with them. I select clients by seeing if we click in the meeting. I want to become the brides friend and I’m sure you do too since you will be spending so much time with your photographer.

Hi Cindy! When I was choosing a photographer my first two priorities were photography style and price!! Once I had it narrowed down to my top 7-10 photographers, I reached out about their availability and to set up a phone call! A bunch of them were already booked for my date, so the rest I felt out over the phone to see who I got along with best.

Lynnie has made an excellent point here, you need to love the style of the photographer. I'd even say that the price actually comes second because if you fall for it glossing over the style you don't particulary enjoy and the photos come across as not what you've thought they would be, there will be only so much changes you can do in Photoworks! So look through the portfolios carefully.
