Patio Blankets?

Our wedding is just over 2 weeks away!!!
Our reception venue has a patio area with fire pits and lounge furniture that overlooks the city skyline, and I’m debating whether we should get some throw blankets. It won’t be SUPER chilly, but it will be during the evening, which can get cooler, especially if you’re not wearing a jacket or something. We’d only be getting a few blankets rather that enough that people would mistake them for favors. The blankets won’t break the bank, but I don’t want to pay for something nobody will use. On one hand, I think it would be nice to have something to allow people to enjoy being outside in the evening and enjoy the view, but on the other hand, I’m worrying people won’t want to use a blanket that’s just laying around that others might have used first. What do you guys think?

There was a thread earlier about exactly this. The bride purchased blankets for everyone and it was really well received, even though the weather was cool. If you have extra you could donate to a homeless shelter!

I think it would be weird to just have a couple. If you’re going to do it, you have to go all out and get enough for everyone. But, I also think guests should know to dress for the weather (if they’re warned it is an outdoor event).

I did this for our wedding and guests loved it!! I went to At Home so not super expensive. Highly recommend doing this if time allows! ❤️

Ooooh the patio area sounds lovely. If there's room in the budget I d definitely pick up a few blankets. You can probably catch some good sales on blankets right now, earlier in the week Macys had a wide array of throws on sale I also saw some really cute seasonal throws at Marshalls last weekend. Have fun planning your finishing touches!
