Pasadena Ca String Duo

Hey Friends! Im a DIY bride, everything but the catering and bartender. I ran into a budget snag, and wondering if anyone has references. I can't imagine paying a musician more than what I make for an hour. I was hoping to hire a string duo, and my mouth dropped at how much they quoted us. over $300 per musician. That's only for 1 hour of playing. I tried to rationalize the cost but just cant. Anyone know of a a local string duo that would for $100-$150/each? I've been hitting a chord with some of these managers conducting their business being criticized for having a small budget and being less favorable, giving me their opinion with sass. I honestly don't mean to offend anyone just trying to understand it.
