pa Brides- a Ray of Hope

Katie, on May 27, 2020 at 10:06 PM Posted in Pennsylvania Planning 0 4
My fellow PA Brides, not sure if anyone caught this ray of hope for us on the news today, but Governor Wolf said in green phase up to 250 people are allowed in a gathering!! I included a photo of the news. My county is still yellow and I postponed my June wedding to August. Prayers for all of us this virus will go down in all counties and we are safely in green by our wedding dates. 💚 if anyone hears more news on the wedding regulations or from our venues, please post. Thank you!!pa Brides- a Ray of Hope 1

This is the guidance for restaurants in the green phase. I think most venues fall into this category (but dont quote me on that! Lol)

October 2020 bride here and holding onto hope! My anxiety reduced a little once I saw the 250 limit for gatherings. Hopefully PA can continue to decrease our amount of cases. I am also curious about further wedding related regulations, like I know some states aren't allowing dancing? Hopefully as more counties move into the green stage, we will know more!

The link I posted has the governor’s guidance regarding social distancing, wearing masks etc. I have a feeing venues will be developing their own plans now that they finally have something to go off of.

It is my understanding that Gov. Wolf's version of the green phase will allow any event under 250 people, but will defer to individual businesses/venues to mandate masks or not (a good way to defer ownership of the CDC guidelines - how political). This is going to be so strange for wedding venues - if they require masks, they may lose a lot of money because many if not most couples don't want to wear them at their weddings; whereas if they merely recommend them, then that is a way of shirking the stigma of it back onto the venue, but on other hand many guests just may not attend out of discomfort. It's such an emotional decision, but also psychologically impactful.
