Outfit for someone in a wheelchair

I'm the 68 years old grandmother whose oldest granddaughter is getting married March 29th. I have looked for something to wear that will work with my wheelchair. I'm plus sized and need something in either rust or tan. I need a tea length dress that won't get caught in the wheelchair. And I think I need a jacket or something maybe sleeves to hide under. Maybe empire waist or fit and flare. I don't know I'm just looking for any kind of advice. I want her to be proud to have me present on her special day.

    Something similar, my future mother in law is in a wheelchair and has to wear special shoes so to match her shoes I. Matched the outfit and she won’t run it over like they would in a dress.

    A dressy pantsuit with a flowy jacket might be a good option for not interfering with the wheels. But no matter what you wear, I know your granddaughter will be proud to have you present! I would’ve loved to have my grandma there no matter what she wore. ❤️

    You're so sweet to give me such an ego boost. It's very hard at 68 to try and look your best for special occasions. This is my first big event since I was put in the chair and I have 2 other grandchildren getting married in the next year so I'm hoping to be able to pull it off. Thank you

    Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate all the positive comments I've gotten on this website. Hopefully my problem and final solution may help someone else in this situation. I found this outfit totally by accident, or maybe divine intervention! But, now at least I know what to look for when the other weddings are approaching. Thanks again to everyone on this site for all the encouragement 😀
