Outdoor Wedding in November in Atlanta, ga

Alli, on July 11, 2023 at 10:16 AM Posted in Georgia Planning 0 4

I'm having a freak out moment. I wanted a November 2nd wedding at Chattahoochee Nature Center at the Ben Brady Pavilion which is outside but has the option for heaters (which obviously I would want). Do you think with heaters and a fireplace it will be acceptable?? I'm so scared now hahaha

What’s the average temperature there at that time? And would this be for the ceremony, reception, or both?

Anywhere between 50's-70's and sometimes 80's in recent years but the problem with Atlanta is you just never know! I think I'll be more than fine with multiple heaters on the covered patio, especially since this venue has events there all year I just always worry about being cold or my guests being cold or the heaters not heating properly! The ceremony will be fully outside and the reception is a covered patio (which should help with warmth!)

I've had dinners outside at restaurants at 10degF next to outdoor heaters. I think you'll be fine. Just make sure you let guests know. Also maybe you could serve mulled wine or some other hot drink to warm people up.

Great, love to hear that! I plan on telling everyone to be ready for any weather situation, because Atlanta is weird like that!
