Other wedding events canceled?

FutureMrs.Morgan, on March 18, 2020 at 12:33 PM Posted in Georgia Planning 0 2
Is anyone else faced with possibly canceling or postponing wedding events like bridal shower or bachelorette parties? Which is better? To have it as planned and risk not having too many people show up or postpone and risk not having important people able to make the new date?

Hi FutureMrs.Morgan! I think it all depends on the date, where you live, and how the situation evolves!

You're definitely not the only one thinking about these events - check out this discussion where other brides are debating the same thing: Covid-19 Bridal Shower/bachelorette Party.

I know this is post was posted a while ago. When is/ was your event?
I had to cancel my Bachelorette that was supposed to be in Miami on April 24th. Instead we did a virtual happy hour with all of my girls and are planning on rescheduling closer to the wedding date. Maybe even during the wedding weekend like people used to do.
But I highly suggest doing a virtual party if you do decide to postpone. It was super fun and my girls made me feel very special by ordering me food and booze. And you can always reschedule for a later date
