Opinions needed...

Katie, on October 8, 2020 at 11:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
Ok so this will probably be my last post until after my wedding on Saturday but I need some opinions. FH and I exchanged our presents tonight due to time constraints and personal preference as well as we bought presents for my kids so they opened them as well tonight.

(FH and I have still written letters to each other that we will open the morning of the ceremony apart from each other)
So FH bought me this bracelet that is meant to reference The Red String of Fate. We have always loved the meaning behind it and we have talked about getting tattoos of red strings on our pinky fingers but just haven’t done it yet.
The bracelet (pictured below) has our initials on it and on another part has a butterfly which is a strong meaning for me. The question I have is this:
Should I or would it look bad if I wore it on our wedding day. I will be wearing all silver jewelry with some pink so would it look bad? I don’t know if anyone will understand the meaning behind it and don’t know if it will look ridiculous.

If you want to wear it, then wear it. It has special meaning to you and that’d the main thing that matters.

As you say, it does not go with anything, starting with the tattoo. Since it has meaning ( I do not know what) I would wear it on my ankle. Where it will show briefly a lot, but not disturb the picture on formal portraits. It is noy just the color or metal color, but the string is a super informal material. Without it, the tattoo will be fine. With it, something needs to go. And the tattoo looks nicer.

I agree with Judith. If you want to wear it, I would wear it on your ankle.

I thought of the ankle to but it does not fit. Thank you for the suggestions. I do not think I will wear it just because it is informal and the color will definitely stand out from everything else.

I think it’s simple enough that it might not be noticeable. But, it would personally bother me if it didn’t match.
Is there a way you can wrap it around your bouquet?

That’s a good idea but I already have rosary beads that are on my bouquet so I don’t want to add anything else to it.

Thank you for the idea though.

Could you hide it in or around your bouquet? So it's still a part of your day? Or you could tuck it into the top part of your dress for just the ceremony!
