Hi everyone! Looking for anyone who has gotten married at the Olowalu Plantation House in Lahaina, Maui, HI. We are getting married there next September! Want some tips, tricks and insight from an insider! Specific questions include:

-How many guests did you have?

- Did it feel cramped/too big/ etc?

-Did you provide transportation for guests?

-What did you use to leave the reception? Get away car? Uber?

-Did the 10PM cut off time feel too abrupt? Every wedding I have been too had drinks and dancing well past 11 so I was bummed about the cut off time but get that it's the law, but wanted to get a feel from someone who's done it!

-What time did you have guests arrive?

-Did you and your wedding attendants get ready at the hotel mainly then do final touches at the plantation house?

Sorry for so many questions! I have read the reviews and they are amazing but my specific questions are so tricky and I need someone who has been through it! Thanks!

Maybe try posting this in “local” forums so that hopefully you’ll get more responses!

I’d also try Yelp. You can search for your venue.

Hi Misty! I just moved this discussion to the Hawaii local group, as some of our other couples might have some insight and feedback for you or might also be interested. As from what I can tell, this venue gets fabulous reviews and is absolutely gorgeous!
Have you contacted the venue yet? As they might have an onsite event coordinator/manager who can help answer questions and give recommendations as to what they've seen at prior weddings at their venue.

Hi Maren,

Thank you!! We have a coordinator and date set, I just wanted to full on insider of a couple who has been married there!! The coordinator has answered these questions- but from a coordinator perspective...I wanted to get a feel for it from someone who has actually been married there! Appreciate you moving it where it needs to be!

Haha! Amazing! We got to go to Maui in February and see it- it's GORGEOUS! We get married there in Sept, 2 months!!!

Who did you use for a coordinator? We are leaving on Sept. 7 and get married there Sept. 14! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

We have A Maui Wedding Day as our coordinating service! Can't believe it's here!!!!!!!!! I will let you know for sure. We leave in TWO DAYS. OMG.
