Ohio September 2020 Wedding

Taylor, on June 7, 2020 at 5:17 PM Posted in Ohio Planning 0 11
Hi everyone! I was originally a 5/30/2020 bride who is now a 9/6/2020 bride.... hopefully! Are there any other Ohio September brides out there? If so are you thinking of moving your date or staying put? I know as of June 1st you can now at least HAVE weddings but with some major, unrealistic restrictions in place. I guess right now I’m just hoping that by the time September comes that more of those restrictions will have been lifted or lightened... like dance floor in particular! We have to make a decision pretty much now so that we can get invites out but I’m still so torn on what to do!

I am an Ohio bride - 6/20 moved to 8/7. I would talk with your venue about how they are handling those restrictions. Mine is outdoor and open, and while they won’t outright say dancing is allowed, it is not prohibited. I also heard a rumor that dancing will be allowed very soon, whatever that’s worth. I think things will continue to open up as time goes on! 🤞

Hi as of today, I found out they’re allowing dancing and congregating if you’re social distancing lol

I am Ohio bride with wedding date of 9/6/2020 Smiley heart

My wedding is small but indoor. Since my FH side family are deadly allergic to almost everything.

I am actually looking into pushing it back to Fall/Winter next year. However I am going to wait for a few more weeks to make the call.

My co-worker is getting married at Columbus on 8/8/2020, with 250 ppl. And she is not gonna postpone. So we will see

So with that, my venue is still saying that we have to practice social distancing while dancing and that staff will be there to reinforce the rules. So...idk if it’s even worth it to have a wedding if I can’t dance normally

Very true! But I would rather postpone than treat my wedding like a high school dance with chaperones lol

We are lucky in that our venue is being very accommodating. So I feel ok going ahead and having it be relatively normal. We are actually going to just have our rehearsal dinner there as well now for that reason. Too much red tape everywhere!

How is your venue being accommodating? Genuine question because my venue won’t budge on the 6 foot dancing rule and I’m trying to see if there is anyway around that

They can’t because it’s the guidelines set by the governor unfortunately.
