Oh, David’s Bridal...

Hey everyone ! Hope you’re all staying safe & well.


So I went dress shopping back in February and my dress was expected to arrive at the end of this month. To my pleasant (or so I thought) surprise, I was contacted by the location I went to & was told that my dress arrived & I could have it shipped to my house! I agreed, and was a happy little girl when I saw the pink box at my door.
... and then I opened it. IT’S THE COMPLETELY WRONG DRESS!! To top it all off, the dress I received is one that I tried on but absolutely hated it so much that I didn’t even leave the dressing room to show my friends and family. When I purchased my dress, the price was a lot lower than what I expected but I thought it was just because there was a sale going on. Nope, it was because the cashier (who’s also the store manager) put in the wrong item code.
I called the store and they put a note in my account & told me to bring in the dress I received when they reopen and they’ll take care of the rest . Let’s hope the solution is as easy as they made it seem over the phone.
Just when I thought the wedding planning process was going smoothly... time for a nice strong quarintini 🍸

    Oh noooooo I’m so so sorry!!! It sounds like they are trying to make it right so hopefully they can get you the correct dress ASAP!! I would look up the correct code yourself too and make sure that they are ordering the right dress! I believe you can find the codes online.

    Ugh.... That’s painful. I got warned about DB customer service and quality, but I went anyway. I actually love one dress (my 2nd fav) but ended up following my instinct and went with another dress from another bridal boutique.

    Thanks !! Yeah it seems like they’re trying to make it right which is making me feel better about it now that I’ve calmed down a bit, lol. & yes I just looked up the correct code so I’ll keep it close by for when it’s time to exchange. Fingers crossed !

    Yeah I’ve heard things about their customer service but I loveddd the dress I picked and I couldn’t imagine wearing anything else 🥺

    They’ll have to reorder it but I hope it won’t take too long. This order only took a few months but I’m not sure how it’s going to be post Covid

    Are they going to give you an amazing discount??? Check the price online for the dress and compare. You definitely have the right to haggle.

    I sure hope so!! Right now the dress that I wanted is $200 cheaper than what I paid. So I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out. Plus I’m going to take my matron of honor with me when it’s time to go back there. She’s a tough little cookie & I can be softie sometimes so I’ll need her by my side 😇😂😂

    I really hope so. My wedding isn’t until March of next year but still I’d rather have this handled as early as possible

    Wow i hope they give you a discount or something for good customer service later on too because that is not ok

    David’s bridal was a nightmare for me. I had to order my dress 3 times to finally get the right one. The first one was ordered in the store. I got an email that it was here mid March, and the store said they’d ship it. It never arrived. You can’t call right now you have to chat. They promised to ship a new dress. It never came. So I chatted again with no call back as promised so I ordered the dress again online. This order arrived in about 2 weeks, but when I opened the box it was the wrong dress! (I confirmed that I ordered the correct dress on the website). Once again I chatted with David’s bridal was promised a call back and never got one so I started return process. And i ordered the dress a third time online (sale prices now are less than when I paid originally). The right dress finally came!! I will never use David’s bridal again. Customer service is awful!!! Not one of the 4 times I called and then had to use chat did someone follow through with what they promised. I hope they get your dress correct. Such a stressful time.

    Wowww I’m so sorry you had to deal with that stress!!! It’s so unnecessary. They should have top of the line customer service, especially at this time. When I went dress shopping it was so overwhelming and by the end of it I felt drained but I loved my dress so much that I just dealt with it. Now I’m questioning what I should do for my bridal party because I planned on getting their dresses there too.

    That’s crazy but I hope everything goes smoothly from now on with you dress. I ordered mine online on 4/28/2020 less then a month before my wedding (which was crazy of me to do) well it didn’t shipped until the 7th of May well I was supposed to get the dress May 11th nothing came so I waited till the next day it did come but I will say the delivery driving just threw it on my porch ugh. It wasn’t damaged are anything but I would think as a big dress company that they can at least put it in a box and not one of those bags with barley no bubble wrap.

    My daughters have gotten bridesmaid dresses there before without any problem. I was very patient with them because of COVID 19 but at some point it becomes ridiculous. I hope it works out for you. Maybe take a screenshot of the discounted price offered now. I never received my first dress so I’m disputed the charge on my credit card. And ordered a new one online. My wedding is in August so I was worried about the timing. Good luck to you.

    Wow!! That’s so messed up! Delivery drivers have been just tossing things on my porch lately it’s so annoying. I’m glad you were able to get your dress though ! ❤️

    Yeah if anything I’ll just go to a different location for bridesmaids dresses. I did think to screenshot the price of the dress now so I can mention it when I get there. I can’t wait to see the pics of your dress & how everything comes together! Good luck to you as well.
