October outdoor ceremony

We're getting married 10/19/19 and are considering an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. I was just curious if anyone else in MN had or was thinking about an outdoor ceremony that late in the year? From recent years, it looks like the temperature that day mid 50's to low 70's, and we'd do it mid day when it's at the high for the day.

    MN Landscape Arboretum is beyond beautiful - lots of different ceremony sites. We also looked at:

    Normandale Community College Japanese Gardens

    The Woods Chapel in Orono

    Old Log Theater

    Public Parks in our area

    We just got back from a wedding on Saturday 10/6 and it was 44 degrees!!! Everyone was very cold... we felt bad for the bridesmaids! maybe just offer some throw blankets!!!

    It could be so stunning or soooo miserable (bah Minnesota weather can be so unpredictable!), I’d have an indoor backup plan just in case the weather is less than ideal. Even if the weather is good it will probably get chilly in a dress, so the throw blankets (or blanket scarves or shawls) for bridesmaids is a great idea!
