I'm sorry to hear you're finding it difficult to find a makeup artist.

What part of Hawaii are you getting married in? There are a ton of makeup artists in the Honolulu area listed on the WeddingWire vendor directory, you can check them out here - Honolulu Wedding Makeup. Some of them may experience working with darker skin tones and previous client pictures on their storefront and social channels.

Alternatively, have you spoke with your venue coordinator? They may be able to recommend someone or have a recommended vendor list.

I don’t have a deeper skin tone, but the artist I went with was Heather Heen from Delish.

I used to work as an artist for Bare Minerals back in the day, so I’m super picky with technique and product. I did a trial with her and she was great.

I moved to Oahu a while back and while some artists here may not have had a ton of experience with African American skin, they have with Pacific Islander and Polynesian skin which can get pretty deep.
