November wedding - postponing?

Alyssa, on April 19, 2020 at 8:19 PM Posted in Tennessee Planning 0 4
Hey everyone!

Our wedding is a destination wedding in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on November 14th of this year. I’m really stressing because it’s 5 months until our payments are due and I have so much left to do! We have catering, cake, hair and makeup, favors, etc left. We have not sent out the save the dates due to everything going on. I contacted our wedding insurance to ask them what they cover, in case we have to post pone and they won’t do anything until July; which makes sense but doesn’t help us much. Am I crazy for wanting to postpone to make sure this blows over and we can properly get things done for our wedding? What are my other November brides doing?

    Hi Alyssa,

There's so much happening (or not) right now. If you're like me, your feelings can range from relief (that you're safe at home or that your wedding is still 7 months away) to stress that there's so much uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and our return to normalcy. It's a lot!

So it's okay to be nervous or worried at times. You certainly are not alone. Here's a recent discussion with other November brides: November 2020 Weddings, Covid-19 What are we doing?

Hey girl! I live in Pigeon Forge and my wedding is October 24th, with no plans to delay! Pigeon Forge is very much back open and functioning as a tourist town again, almost entirely like normal. We had very, very few COVID infections in the area (I believe around only 63 in the entire Sevier County, the one Pigeon Forge is part of). My FH is one of the local police officers for PF, so I get all the inside scoops 😉
