My fiancé and I are getting married November 5, 2021 in Ohio. The weather is very temperamental here in the Midwest; it can be anywhere from 40 to 70 degrees that time of year. Our venue is partially outdoors; outdoor ceremony and a barn for the reception. We would love to provide throw blankets for our guest incase it is cold, but I can't bring myself to spend $200+ on blankets that might be left behind. We can rent heaters (which we plan to do if its cold) but my fiancé wants to know if it'll be enough to just have heaters and a hot drink bar (hot cocoa, coffee, cider) to keep people warm?

I think that’ll be plenty. When we go out of town, we look at the forecast so we can pack accordingly.

Yes, it can be enough. Inform guests that they are free to bring their own blankets if need be.

I think the hot drink bar sounds amazing! I don't think you need to provide blankets and I know as a guest I wouldn't be expecting them

I've thought about that too! I definitely am going to inform them of the outdoor ceremony/barn on our invitations and to dress appropriately lol. But I thought about having people just bring their own blankets!

I think as long at is it not lower than the 50’s, heaters and hot drinks will be enough.

Hello! I love the idea of the hot cocoa bar since it will keep many of your guests warm. I agree with a lot of the other ladies here, many guests should dress accordingly to the weather, so I wouldn't worry too much about buying blankets to keep people warm. I love the idea of extending the options to your guests to, yes, bring whatever will keep them cozy

Blankets are a really cute idea, I went to a wedding that gave them out for the ceremony since it was up in the mountains ( not in Ohio-but myself and the bride and groom are all from Ohio) but it kinda was one extra thing to hold on to and carry later!
