nj budget wedding ideas, stuck on venue?

Alexis, on April 7, 2022 at 11:38 AM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 2
Hi, any suggestions on venues in NJ (any part) that would be around 10k for 90 guests including food and liquor and all tables/table clothes/etc for the reception. I’m trying to keep my whole wedding under $20k as we are paying for the wedding ourselves.

We are looking at a November 2024 wedding.
I have the below venues on my list, but are still around $14k for the reception which is a bit out of budget.
Swan lake - Galloway Porta - Asbury parkBeaver brook country club - branchburg
I checked out rutgers gardens as I am an alum but felt the price of the space versus what you received was not a great value. Plus we are looking for a winter wedding and a park/mostly outdoor venue would not work.
I’m considering other banquet halls or options but am worried about the al la carte pricing putting me over the budget once you factor in decor, renting tables, linens, etc.

We're getting married at Eastlyn Golf Course & The greenview Inn in Vineland and it was one of the more affordable venues we saw in South Jersey and the owner (Rob) and his Manager (Deena) are really accommodating and great to work with. We're paying around $118 per person but we're having a much larger wedding so it's slightly discounted per person, but not much.

That price includes, ceremony, cocktail hour (with 6 passed hor d'ouvres & 1 carving station, plus cold appetizer display), and reception - we chose buffet over plated to cut down on dinner time and have more party time and we get 3 entrees, two sides, a soup, salad, and pasta. They also provide a dessert table, open bar (we did not upgrade to the deluxe, didn't feel it was necessary with everything included in basic), and they pay $2.50 per person at Stella's Bakery for wedding cake. They have a day of coordinator, they do all your set up and teardown. You get golf carts for pictures on the course if you want.
