What new things are you adding to your wedding that are not necessarily done in your family or social circle? What old traditions are you keeping from your family/social circle that are not common among other groups that you see online?

We did an afternoon wedding with appetizers and desserts, no full meal. That’s unheard of in my family, but they all seemed to enjoy it!

One important tradition we kept was a unity candle. My mom still talks about how they were the first in their area to do a unity candle, so I knew it was important to her. (They just celebrated their 50th anniversary.)
