Nashville honeymoon

Deanna, on May 23, 2018 at 9:31 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9

We are honeymooning in Nashville. We have some things we already plan to do, but want to make sure there isn’t some really great we are missing. What are some must dos/sees while there?

    Country music hall of fame.
A show at the blue bird. There are 2 shows nightly but last I heard they were kind of hard to get and I think they only come out the week before. But, it's a fun night.
Tour the Ryman or the grand old opry.
Walk around and get lost in the Opryland Hotel. If you have your own can and do this park at the mall and walk over. It's short.
BAR HOP downtown. Especially on a weekday night. So fun.
Just last week me and FH checked out all the little art museums. There were about 4. They're off the beaten path a little. They're by the arcade. Good way to spend an hr.
I believe parking at Nissan stadium is still free. Park over there and walk over the river to do stuff down town.
Just be prepared Nashville is growing SO much and there is construction everywhere!

I’m having my bachelorette party in Nashville this weekend. We were looking at the. Kid bird cafe as well. Tickets go on sale the Monday before at 9am and sell out in minutes apparently. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it if you’re able to get tickets.

Ohhhh my family lives in Nashville and we go every three months!! They have fun haunted carriage rides that we do. They’re so fun! I’m also such a foody so all I care about is Nashville food. One place you NEED to go is puckets it’s a restaurant in Franklin (right outside of Nashville). The manager is Reece Witherspoon’s mom! We’ve met her multiple times and she is such a sweet lady!! Plus the food is to. Die. For.

I LOVE NASHVILLE!! I visited last year with my family and had such a blast!

We visited the Country Music Hall of Fame which was amazing!

You should look up to see if anyone is performing at the Grand Ol' Opry. When we visited, Rascal Flatts was in town!

Across from the Grand Ol' Opry is a restaurant called Opry Backstage Grill. They have amazing food and live music at all times. The cool part is the people performing are actually the wait and bar staff!! It was so cool to watch a performer and then her come down to serve us after. It gave us an opportunity to tell her how amazing she was.

You should check out the Opryland Marriott which is right next to the Grand Ol' Opry. It is much more than a hotel. It is an atrium style resort and has a beautiful scenery and restaurants around the property.

Downtown is a MUST! My favorite spot was the rooftop of Pixies. That is probably where we spent most of our time.

We didn't get a chance to check it out, but there was a Willie Nelson museum that looked cool.

There is so much to do in Nashville. I know there was a ton that we missed, but we'll be back soon!

    Have fun there!!

Hi Deanna!! How exciting! I've been to Nashville before and loved it! I was there a short time and only got to shop at Opry Mills Mall, but from what I did see it was awesome. We have a great Honeymoon guide that features Nashville along with sights, activities, and other community discussions that I think you might enjoy!

I’m from Nashville and would be happy to offer some ideas!
Musts: the Johnny Cash Museum, Patsy Cline Museum, the Honky Tonks, the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman. An amazing new magic themed, speakeasy style restaurant that opened in the basement of the Johnny Cash Museum is perfect for special events like couples on their honeymoon. Check it out at HoCnashville.com. Smiley smile

My finacé and I just got back from a mini vaca to Nashville just last month. You'll have to excuse that I have mostly food recommendations. Smiley xd

Breakfast: We loved the donuts at Five Daughters Bakery. There's several of these in town. Also highly recommend Yeast Nashville in East Nashville for kolaches and other delicious pastries. Would recommend staying away from Biscuit Love. Everyone sings this place's praises, but we were not impressed after standing in line for an hour and thirty minutes.

Lunch/Dinner: Hattie B's hot Nashville chicken is a must. Should be a couple of locations. Pharmacy Burger is a delicious burger joint in East Nashville that I loved. Our biggest splurge dinner was at 5th & Taylor which was totally worth it. Loved everything we had there.

Activities: Besides the more obvious ones, we really enjoyed checking out all the murals and shops on 12 South. Also the Shoppes on Fatherland in East Nashville were some great little shops to check out too.

You can use nashvilleguru.com to help you look at restaurants/bars in each part of the city. I have lived here my whole life but still use that website from time to time. It also will has an event calendar so you can see what is going on during the days you are here.
