We are looking for an inexpensive venue to host our wedding and we don't want to break the bank

Look into event centers owned by your local parks department. They are very inexpensive and allow you flexibility to have longer hours and your choice of inexpensive vendors compared to restrictive all inclusive venues that have hidden fees, required vendors you can’t sample or visit before you sign the contract, as well as restrictions on when you can start.

I second parks! Also check State Parks. A park wedding doesn't have to be outdoors. Lots of places have buildings and indoor spaces.

Also think about a house! Do you have a family member or close friend with a larger, lovely home? A beautiful garden? You will have to rent tables and chairs, but can't beat the rental price. Smiley smile

Be careful with this because renting things for a backyard can easily add up. Not all homes/yards are equipped with parties in mind. Everything has to be brought in from bathrooms to level flooring to you name it. Which gets expensive quickly. There are also parking issues with neighbors and noise restrictions to be aware of. If the guest list is super small (no more than 10 people) and low key, then go for it.
