My Mother's Veil

Hello everyone, I recently found out my mom will had her wedding dress. I have my dress and bought a cheap veil from Hobby Lobby that matches my dress. When I saw her veil cap I fell in love and it matches my dress! The 30+ years of yellowing actually made it match my ivory dress. I am just not a huge fan of the veil itself. I'm looking for somewhere to attach my veil to the cap and maybe shrink the cap a little smaller into like a headband? Any suggestions
