Thursday was emotional, magical, and all we could have hoped for our intimate ceremony in one of our favorite places. The drizzle cleared up before we left for the ceremony. Our officiant was funny, sweet, and balanced our beliefs perfectly. The rest of the day just fell into place as we wandered around town, even getting invited into our favorite distillery's new location before they even opened because the owner recognized us and wanted us to have the memory of celebrating our wedding there. The sunset on the water was gorgeous as we ate dinner. We couldn't have asked for more.

Then came Saturday and it all got so much better! Our sons and future daughter-in-law worked so hard to help me get my vision out of my head and into the real world. My dear friends made sure my hair and make-up were beautiful, even if it wasn't what we were initially going for. Honestly, it feels like the whole day was the most flawed perfect day I could have wished for. Our families were so happy to welcome their new sister/daughter and we were surrounded by so much love! We were so late for our first look, but when it finally happened we couldn't stop crying. She was so beautiful! Our songs for the ceremony randomly shuffled, confusing our friend who tried so hard to make our moment perfect, it still was! My veil had a mind of its own. A couple people couldn't make it, but they had very valid reasons and though we missed them we understood. I definitely feel like I missed quality time with a couple of people, even though I definitely got time to have at least a quick chat with everyone. Her vows made LITERALLY everyone cry and I regretted not going first as I tried to read my vows through tear filled eyes. The selfie station was a hit, even if the frames we worked so hard on were not put out until after most guests had already taken their pictures. I forgot to put our hashtag on the sign too but we had cards by the favors (that were also a hit!!!) for our photo sharing site. It was a few degrees hotter than expected and I feel like I sweat through everything but once I got the waist cincher off (and enjoyed some wine) it got better. Our son and some friends also made us cry with their heartfelt speeches. My dad, who was concerned because he had no idea what to expect from me, was gushing over how nice he thought everything was. My brothers were so happy for us and happy to see me happy and free to be with the woman I love. Everyone raved about our venue, the food, the music (that I spent months working on), and the ceremony. I feel so goofy getting excited every time I get to say "my wife", but it makes me so happy!!! I can't wait for the photos! We are just so happy and relieved to finally be Mrs. & Mrs. and done planning this wedding!!!!
