Motorcycle honeymoon!!

caitlin, on October 15, 2015 at 8:19 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 10

Sooo we got engaged on a motorcycle trip and our bike rides have a special place in my heart (and I'm sure his too)...now we're looking to do our honeymoon on the bike! Starting from rehoboth beach De, to outer banks NC, all the way down to Florida keys...yes we're crazy! Has anyone else been just as crazy as us and know of any cool places to stay? Beach campsites? Scuba diving? Hell--even swimming with dolphins!! Scenic drives?? Let's hear it!

My MOH actually traveled for her honeymoon. It was a big week-long camping trip, so definitely not crazy. I still advise a day or two of just relaxation at the end!

Do you have your own bike, or are you a passenger on his bike? I've pretty much have been riding my whole life, and I would never chose to ride the bike nonstop for a whole week. Like how many miles do you plan on averaging a day? I do have to agree the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC is beautiful.

Yes--definitely doing blue ridge! That was part of our engagement trip! And yes I ride on the back. One day if I wind up with my own that would be great but until then I'm content haha

Fun... Although a week is long! I did a 6 day trip with my riding buddy from NJ to deals gap in NC /TN. We were bat shit crazy by the time we got done. It was hard. Really hard.(to be fair we were both in aggressively set up sport bikes but still)

Definitely sounds like fun but plan loosely for the trip!

I can't ride as a team with FH honestly. His style and mine are so different it makes me crazy. . But I don't mind short day trips on the back with him. It's really a neat way to spend time. Once I got over being a passenger I really enjoyed my time on the back.

We keep talking about a bike trip but it hasn't happened and we have tentative plans already for the honeymoon so probably not with the bikes.

It sounds like fun I hope you guys have an awesome time and comfie beds!

It wasn't a trip of any significance but 2 summers ago we drove from VT down to Georgia and circled back up a little less than 2 weeks. It was amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I'm a passenger and thoroughly enjoyed it. We did not have any sort of plans nor reservations so I don't have much advice on where to stay we just drove till we were tired and tried to find the closest campsite! Good luck it sounds like a lot of fun!!

I'm currently in the process of selecting an ATV service center, and your recommendation for ATV servicing is valuable. Can you share your insights on the cost-effectiveness of their services and whether you've found them to provide good value for the quality of work they do?
